Future, “Turn on the Lights” (2012, Pluto)
Pluto is weird. Future’s love of dirty Sprite, Auto-Tune, galaxies, “foreign” women, “Scarface,” Pimp C, doing things simultaneously, gargling-singing (as heard on this ballad that comes toward the album’s end), et al. … it’s all here, and the results are unlike any other rap album (major, mixtape or in-between) this year. Consider me sold.
This song is amazing. Mike Will seems like a rightful heir to Drumma Boy.
